Surfing in South Africa

South Africa is famous for its long and clean breaking waves. There are numerous surf spots on the Atlantic Coast as well as on the Indian Ocean (False Bay) with excellent surfing conditions. You will find a professional surfing school in Muizenberg, a 30 minutes car drive from the guest house. Blouberg Beach, 10 minutes north of Sunset Beach, is a bay with good conditions for beginners, too. Advanced surfers find waves there up to 4 metres in summer time and up to 6 metres in winter time.
